Funding

Current Funding

The Cochrane Schizophrenia Group (CSzG) is part of the international Cochrane Collaboration, an independent not-for-profit consortium dedicated to providing up-to-date, accurate information about the effects of healthcare. The work of the CSzG Editorial Base team is largely funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), with additional support from the University of Nottingham.

Infrastructure funding comes from the UK's NIHR. This supports help given to reviewers, searching for studies and processing of reviews to the point of submission to the Cochrane Library.

Individual reviews may have other sources of funding and these are listed in the 'Sources of support' section of the relevant review. The work of this group is not supported by any funding from the pharmaceutical industry and the CSzG does not seek any funding from industry.

Although the project is largely supported by the NIHR, via Cochrane Infrastructure funding to the the Group, the views and opinions expressed in reviews are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the UK's Systematic Reviews Programme, NIHR, NHS or the Department of Health.

Previous Funding

Till 2018, funding was also obtained from the delivery of the Nottingham Systematic Review Course, which contributes to the cost of providing administration support. The CSzG also gratefully acknowledges a small, anonymous donation received in 2005 to promote the provision of systematic reviews in China.
